# Connecting your tools

Connectors are what turn an agent from a chatbot into a worker. You connect your own accounts and choose exactly which permissions to give. Open the Connections tab to begin. Only admins and owners can connect or disconnect.

## Google: Gmail and Calendar

1. In Connections, tick only the permissions you want: Read email, Send email, Calendar events.
2. Choose Connect Google. A Google window opens.
3. Pick your Google account and allow the permissions.
4. Return to AgentOS and reload the page. The account now shows as connected.

Google may show a warning that the app is not yet verified, and may limit who can connect, until its review of AgentOS is finished. That is expected for new apps. Choose Advanced and continue only if you started this connection yourself.

What agents can do with it: search and read email, send email (always after approval), list calendar events and create events (after approval). Sending needs the Send email permission, so leave it unticked if an agent should only read.

To disconnect, choose Disconnect next to the account. AgentOS deletes its stored tokens and asks Google to revoke access. If you revoke access from your Google account instead, AgentOS notices and asks you to reconnect.

## Slack

Slack uses a bot token that you create.

1. Create a Slack app for your workspace at api.slack.com/apps.
2. Under OAuth and Permissions add the scopes chat:write and channels:history, then install the app to your workspace.
3. Copy the Bot User OAuth Token. It starts with xoxb-.
4. Invite the bot to the channels it should use.
5. In Connections, paste the token under Slack and choose Connect.

Agents can read recent messages in a channel and post messages. Posting needs approval and is limited to the channels listed in the agent's permissions.

## Notion

1. Create an internal integration at notion.so/my-integrations and copy its token.
2. In Notion, share the pages or databases the agent should see with that integration.
3. Paste the token under Notion in Connections.

Agents can search the pages the integration can see. Notion is read-only in AgentOS today.

## HubSpot

1. In HubSpot go to Settings, Integrations, Private Apps and create a private app with the scope crm.objects.contacts.read.
2. Copy the access token.
3. Paste it under HubSpot in Connections.

Agents can look up a contact by email address. HubSpot is read-only in AgentOS today.

## How tokens are stored

Tokens are encrypted before they are saved and are never shown again. The screens show only whether a service is connected. Replace a token by pasting a new one, or choose Disconnect to delete it.

## Status

Gmail and Google Calendar are the first connectors. Slack, Notion and HubSpot are in beta. Outlook, Salesforce, Stripe and QuickBooks are planned and not available yet.
